So many people here in the City have been coming down with the flu the past few weeks, and the hospital has been pretty busy lately with people suffering from dehydration and other common side-effects of influenza, but thanks to those immunizations, things have been better than they might have been. If we hadn’t had those…well, we did, and I’m ( Read more... )

And they mentioned me? Did you need medical attention for some reason?

[doesn't know you're from Konoha yet~ and why else would she be mentioned?]

I've successfully nursed my friend back to health after he had a bout of influenza. It's a relief to see him better now--I hope everyone else gets better soon, too. You're not talking about that shot the Deities were dispensing, right? It's one formulated by the hospital?

I'd love to go out! Where and when?

I'm glad to hear he's better! I...I'm not sure. I knew the Deities had those immunization booths, but there were flu shots at the hospital, too. I didn't ask where they'd come from. Is there something wrong with the ones the Deities were giving out?

I was thinking sometime tonight would be nice. I'm not at all sure where, though--any ideas?

Thank you! I'll be sure to tell him. I don't trust the Gods of this world. They give us curses, their 'shots' can't be trusted. I'll get one at the hospital. I trust you and Doctor Lilith.

It would be, definitely! Maybe a dinner out might be nice? A-And those 'movies' are wondrous! Maybe we can see one?

...But they could still be the same shots. I really don't know how we'd figure that out, though--if the Deities wanted to trick us, they could just change the shipment dates on the boxes. You don't even have to have supernatural powers to do that. Anyone with the right level of clearance could get into those storage rooms.

It would! Hmm...the Koukakurou looks really nice--sorta reminds me of home a little--but so does Pandora's and lots of other places. Do you have any preference, Takiko-san? Movies are great! It's been a while since I've gone to one, so I'd love to go! I wonder what's playing...

I think everyone's been working their hardest at the hospital lately, Lilith-sama. It's really made things go smoothly despite the additional patients.

Yeah! We could always rent a movie. But I think this time we have to pick it instead of Kakashi. If we've both gotten the immunization, though, we don't have to stay home.

Immunizations are worthless when they're late.

medic_plz November 15 2008, 19:36:24 UTC
Of course. But a lot of them weren't late, so they did keep a lot of people from getting sick.

It was too late for me.

...Really? I didn't think vampires were susceptible to most human illnesses.

I'm sorry to hear that you were sick, though. Are you fully recovered?
