my windows are open, and my neighbors have apparently decided that playing extraordinarily loud music from their cars is a plus. I literally had to turn off my DVD because I couldn't hear it from two feet away due to whatever they're playing. And now the roommate is responding with very loud opera!

Oh, thank goodness they're done. Quiet is golden.

I graduate in August of this year and I have spent far too much time, energy and money to let a driver's license keep me from a job that I want. Therefore, I arranged to *finally* take driving lessons and I had my first one today. My thesis and I have been having an argument for the past several days. Unfortunatly, for me it seems to be winning. The problem is that while I have a great deal more work to get done today my brain has sort of turned itself off. So I'm watching the Breakfast Club as a break from the copius amount of reading I've been doing when--much to my horror--I realize that the group of them sitting around talking about their parents and their problems is a perfect example of mutual aid in groups. You would think that perhaps since this is a program where clearly none of us have any money they could manage to not make the books cost insane amounts of money but no.
