It's Time Once Upon A Time Got A Tag

I've got to stop reading set reports for the filming of the second season of Game of Thrones. All I end up doing is fretting that they're going to ruin my favourite storylines and characters and it is not good for me.

I've now officially fallen for Once Upon A Time. If watching a television show is like entering a relationship, I'm at the stage ( Read more... )

It is one of the best shows on television at the moment. It makes me so sad that it struggles to stay on air.

Lord Grantham gets visited by three ghosts. They all slap him. The end.

I support this idea.

I won't get to watch this week's Community until Monday, argh.

I'm liking Once Upon a Time too, but Regina in the third ep was kinda...it was like a drop-off for me from the other two, where she had understandable if twisted motives, to being like really hammy evil grinny for no apparent reason (I know people have their theories, but when all of a sudden you throw in person who has no real basis for involvement in the situation to grin hammily at people, it takes me out of the story).

BUT THE NEXT EPISODE WILL HAVE ROBERT CARLYLE.

Oh my god, that Community montage has been STUCK IN MY HEAD ALL DAY. And I'm really loving where Jeff's story seems to be going this year. There's something about the way he carries his vulnerability that's very striking.

I had the opposite reaction, I liked the hammy evil for no apparent purpose. I don't really know why, it's just Regina randomly showing up and scowling while evil music plays, just makes me want to cheer. Maybe I've just been watching things with ambiguous heroes and villains for so long, I'm just enjoying for the first time in ages something basically saying 'she is evil!' and using all the signposts the cartoons of my childhood would use to scream it (even though I don't think she is evil).

Jeff's not the kind of character I'm usually interested in, but unexpectedly I'm really, really looking forward to the find out whether the writers are going with it (particularly as the thankfully seem to have decided to keep Jeff/Annie out of the storyline and make it about Jeff and his issues not about the ship). And Joel McHale is rocking vulnerable Jeff.
