Clash of Kings (and True Blood)

I'm a hundred and fifty or so pages into A Clash of Kings and I have to say, reading books after spending a season with the characters as played by actors, all the characters that aren't new sound like their actors that play them in my head and it is fantastic

i agree re:jon snow. he is way too gary stu for me, always has been. oh look i'm a bastard but i really have ~special parentage~ and a fancy sword and my wolf is fucking huge and white because i'm ~different~ oh FUCK OFF SNOW

Yay, it's not just me who dislikes him! (And, adding to the list, becoming the Old Bear's protege, when he hasn't done much besides mope and act like a privileged brat). I really wouldn't mind at this moment is he was randomly killed by a White Walker and the Wall storyline POV given to Sam or Mormomt.
