TV Meme Day Seven: Least Favourite Episodes

Sep 21, 2010 20:52

I am rather regretful today as I realised that yesterday when discussing favourite episodes I left out Duet, which is like so my favourite episode of DS9 and should have been in this. I have a least favourite episode of DS9, but it's mean to complain about it an not love it. Anyway...

I like Love and Monsters :(

Totally agree on The Next Doctor though.

To be honest, I actually think most of Love and Monsters is quite good. I just find the last five minutes to be so dreadfully awful that it renders the rest of the episode unwatchable.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates TND.

That's a fair enough assessment, lol. I just generally pretend that part at the end didn't happen. The rest of it is too cute. London Investigation n Detective Agency! :D

I actually kind of thought I was the only one out there that didn't like TND! It seems like a fan favorite for some reason. I think maybe just cause people like David Morrissey a lot. I had never even heard of him until that episode so my opinion wasn't colored in that way.

I liked Love & Monsters up until the end made me go DDDD= -- but that's the end, it hasn't managed to make me hate the rest of it. I mean, I don't love it, but I can't really think of any s2 I'm over-enthusiastic about so it's on par. Elton was precious.

"Tooth and Claw" hits my embarrassment squick so hard that it is the only episode of New Who I have not been able to watch more than once.

As for TToI: I know my least favorite storyline! It's the one where Hugh sends an email to "Glenn" from Terri's account except it turns out that it wasn't Glenn's address, and wacky hijinx ensue. It's so sitcom-y and just unworthy of the show. But that is the finale ep where Hugh fucks Glenn over so completely, which is compelling if infuriating, so you're right, I still can't call it a bad ep.

I really enjoy Tooth and Claw. The kung-fu nuns on loltactic, plus the bit where the dude who betrays the Queen sacrifices his life gets me every time (I am such a sucker for those sorts of storylines).

I can understand that storyline being a favourite.Although, that episode also has Ollie, Terri and Robyn discussing failing to commit suicide in the lobby, which is one of my favourite little moments in the show.

Personally, I find 1x03 a little on the dull side, but that's the harshest criticism I can come up with of any episode.

The Woman King is pretty bloody awful. Even Doc Cottle came off badly in that episode. Doc Cottle! Normally he's 100% awesome.

Dude, I watched Isaac and Ishmael, and I liked it quite fine, and then I got involved in the online world and apparently I'm supposed to think it is dreadful for reasons no one has ever explained?

I haven't watched in years and years, but Deborah at TWOP (who, before you think it, is way better than Jacob) did a very good criticism of it which outlines why a lot of people hate it.

I just remember CJ being out of character, Leo being so far out of character he was a complete different character, and the whole thing being a bit preachy and sanctimonious. Plus is was when Aaron Sorkin became interested in Middle Eastern politics and I pretty much hated ever Middle Eastern politics storyline the show did.

I do remember being furious at Leo getting all paranoid racist and threatening that employee. I suppose I don't know the show enough to note where it stands apart from consistent characterization; I just know I wouldn't have accepted his apology and so probably resigned. I'm Middle Eastern and I also tend toward the attitude that if you're going to get so easily out of control when you're frightened/upset, there's no reason to trust you.

And the Oxford dictionary definition of 'fact' and not the Tucker definition :)
