I am rather regretful today as I realised that yesterday when discussing favourite episodes I left out Duet, which is like so my favourite episode of DS9 and should have been in this. I have a least favourite episode of DS9, but it's mean to complain about it an not love it. Anyway...
Day 07: Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show
Okay, it would be so easy to pick Black Market or Isaac and Ishmael or Love and Monsters and put them here, but everybody hates those episodes, they're pretty much universally deplored so I thought I would hate on some episodes that don't get hated on enough.
Battlestar Galactica - Hero: Going of my recollection of this episode: Look, a new character that we will never see again. Feel bad for him. Did you know that Adama may have doomed humanity? Is this possibly a poor attempt to make Adama vaguely relevant? Yes, it's completely ridiculous but Adama blames himself anyway because he is Adama. Feel Adama's epic man-pain! Adama. Adama. Adama.
Bill Adama was never the most interesting character in BSG, but this is the point he became annoying. There is some good stuff with Three, Roslin gets to be awesome and Tigh returns, so it's not all crap.
Doctor Who - The Next Doctor: Think that steampunk Cybermen is such an awesome concept that it cannot possibly be done wrong? Well, you're mistaken. This, this episode right here is how you ruin steampunk Cybermen.
I do vaguely remember some wonderful stuff in this episode, such a hot air balloon, a montage of all the past Doctor and David Morrissey, but when I think of this episode all I can think of is those bloody men-in-bloody-gorilla-suits Cybermen and the climax that was ripped from Power Rangers.
I vaguely remember an episode of The West Wing from the fifth season in which Josh yells as the Capital building. Since I can't remember what the episode's name is, I've decided to leave it alone and not revisit it.
There are no bad episodes of The Thick of It. This is a fact.
