I was re-reading some of your wonderful chapters when I chanced upon the following:

Chapter 11, The Fire Upon the Hearth. Part 2.

Her wild cries took Frodo aback, but looking up he watched her face with awe as the last spasms shook her and hot juices spilled onto his fingers and hand.

A friend of mine and I were discussing the G-spot and female-ejaculation the other day, and I wondered if there is a better name for it. I have heard several but the one I particularly like is ‘gushing’. Imho I think it is a much better name for something so marvellous. Have you heard of any other?

Btw I love Threshold.

I did a little Googling, and here's the best I had time for.

Here's an entry with a lot of helpful but dry factual stuff, a submission to the BBFC complaining about female ejaculation being banned on acount of it being an obscene act like defecating. It gathers up the historical and scientific arguments rather well:

http://www.fiawol.demon.co.uk/FAC/femejac.htm

Now, as to better terminology, from “the Koi Media” sex tutorial site, here's plenty of metaphorical language:

One of the great sexual wonders of the world is Female Ejaculation. Called by a variety of names, from the poetic to the worshipful to the crass, Female Ejaculation is the Nectar of Aphrodite, the Fountain of Venus, the Champagne of Sex, the Geyser of Love. Squirting! Spurting! Spraying! Gushing. Female Ejaculation is carnal proof that a woman's ability to hit her lover right between the eyes when she comes is equal to that of a man. Thus, it's importance is not only erotic, but ( ... )

Mechtild, my dear, I have no eloquent review of any specific segment of Threshold of offer by way of this comment, merely a fervent petition that you will once more take up your pen and complete this wondrous tale. May we hope for more?

Hello, Frodo's Smile! I've been out of town on a family visit for two weeks (with no computer) and have only just read this comment. Aren't you sweet! -- and encouraging. You wrote a very nice comment in the past, in an email, you know. I saved it. Thanks so much for both responses.

As for continuing the story, I am wrapping up a couple of projects right now, but then hope to start writing again.

Thanks so much for your support. It means a lot to me.

You are so welcome! Threshold, and indeed, everything you post, means so much to me, even though I rarely comment. I shall continue to visit your lj, and wait with bated breath for more Frodo and Rosa.

You read the old LJ regularly? Well, whaddaya know. I love hearing that, Lith/aka/Frodo's Smile. I never think anyone other than the "regulars" read the entries (the half-dozen or so people who typically comment on the posts). You encourage me!

How would you know it's not working? You *are* a friend? Oh! I see, you're posting anonymously yet you're able to get in. ((((((((Estë)))))))

Actually, I'm going to unlock it again. I locked it after getting a jolt when someone came into the Mechtild journal to say some very nasty things about the Frodo Art Travesties. But they haven't been back.

I keep saying I'm going to finish this dang story one day. What a lovely reader you were to write for, Estë.

Smooches,
Mechtild

Oh, Metchild! Do you know how desirable and absolutely SEXY you've made Frodo by writing this story?! OMG!!
Typically when I read erotica it's like I'm reading about a very graphic train wreck... But THIS... This is different! It is incredibly exciting while affirming everything I love about the beautiful Frodo Baggins! Please write more of this!!

By the way, I've never commented on your page, but I've been an admirer of your posts for a little while now... Please keep it up!!

Thank you very much! I am so glad you enjoyed this. I don't know who you are to thank you by name (real or LJ), but I appreciate your comment very much.

Typically when I read erotica it's like I'm reading about a very graphic train wreck...

Ha ha, I think I know what you mean. I wanted the erotic material in this story to be erotic, of course, but also beautiful and true to the character and Tolkien's world (as if JRRT would ever write erotica, but you know what I mean).

I haven't worked on this story for years, having lost my momentum. I have never envisioned any other, in this or any other fandom. I was a "one story" woman! I have always meant to finish it, but it seems so daunting. The story completed would be at least two times its current [very long] length.

Well... Obviously, l love Frodo and love your story! As for my identity... I do not have an LJ account. However, I do have a fanfiction.net account... My pen name on there is Diem Kieu!

Well,Diem Kieu, greetings! By the way, if you try to post a comment in my main Mechtild journal, you won't be able to. I've been getting such a pile of junk comments, spam, I turned off the possibility for people who are not signed in, "anonymous", to post a comment. Ninety percent of the junk mail comments are that sort. After a few months I am hoping the automated devices that find journals to flood with their ads will take mine off, and I can open it back to "public" again, so that non-registered visitors to LJ can post there.

Such a beautiful beginning. The heavy drowsy summer day shot through with sudden tragedy. Frodo's journey from a bereft young boy seeking comfort to a blossoming young hobbit lad in the bosom of the various branches of his rambling family. His sweet nature and natural beauty have won him their true affections and his excitement and curiosity even snagged Bilbo's wandering heart. I think it would have been so hard for Rosamunda to let him go and make a life apart from her, and painful to have to push him away. Even though they are very different, there is a bond there that survives separation and change. I could feel how overwhelming it was for her to begin to see him in a new light. She's wise and guided by her heart, wanting only the best for him ( ... )

Good heavens! Thank you, Aliensouldream. I am sorry to reply to your comment so tardily. Jan-u-wine just mentioned in an email (literally an hour ago) that you had been reading the story, wondering if you had commented. Well, I told her, since the emailed-notice-of-comments-and-replies on my journals haven't worked for nearly a year, and since I never check "Threshold" since no one's commented in ages, I would have to open the journal and check. And there your comment was ( ... )

dear ASD.....when Mechtild told me you'd commented, I had to come see for myself.....what a lyrical, thoughtful, and lovely comment, perfect for this sensual, thoughtful, lyrical and lovely story. Mechtild, is, of course, my partner in Tolkien 'crime' so perhaps many would not think me without prejudice. But.....when it comes to writing, I find myself uniquely without prejudice and stuck fairly in the zone of being on the side of the words and how they are used ( ... )
