This is not a political blog.

This isn't a political blog.  I cannot express that enough.  I want to clarify something right here and now before I continue:  I do not like President Bush, but that's not because of his politics, its more because he's a retard who is corrupt.  Unlike say Corky from "Life Goes On" who is a retard but a shining individual of humanity.  Pretty ( Read more... )

A former intern at my workplace had one of those Kerry bumper stickers. I pointed out that the election was long over. He told me he was going to keep it on until 2008. I could nothing but stand there in awe of the most effective non-violent protest I have ever seen.

Wow. Its like people want to live in a fantasy world. Perhaps your former intern should have created reality/fan fiction where John Kerry is President and Bush is in jail and the troops are back at home and global warming is fixed and no one hates anyone and hugs are free.

Bumper Stickers.... monkeisfunque March 26 2007, 16:30:41 UTC
Totally agree with you for once Faux. I have refused to even partake in political conversations because people are so freakin' hard headed about it. My parents for example, they vote Republican. No matter what. Anyways, the whole bumper sticker thing. The ones that make me pissy are the ones that say "I think, therefore I vote democrat." If you want to post an opinion thats fine, but don't tell other people they are stupid just because they don't have your same viewpoint. That bumper sticker (and I'm sure theres a similar one for republicans, such as, "I have alot of money and you don't so I vote republican" or something of the sort.) Grrrrr...this is why I abstain from this topic. In fact, this is the first political rant or comment I haven even made in a long time. --Peace

There is rarely intellectual discourse when it comes to Presedential elections. They are polarizing events that divide people rather than bring them together. Particularly in the last 16 years, its been a rough decade and a half for having any kind of true leadership. You know what I do love though? Rich celebrities telling me how to vote! They have so much free time they should know better than I eh?
