a brief rant-ish-type-thing about fanfiction

So, Closer to the Heart is up on FFN. It gets a fair amount of feedback, usually to the effect of "I loved it, can't wait for more" and some "you should probably deviate from the original plot a bit more". Both of those are reviews that I can understand and am glad to have

Huh.. That doesn't necessarily surprise me (people get enraged over the silliest things and latch on for the long haul), but it is frustrating. :/
I'm sure (and I hope) he/she will get bored and leave you alone before long.

The weird part is that I don't feel like he/she is actually commenting on the fic or my abilities as a writer at all, but rather he/she just wants to talk about how stupid Buffy is.

Maybe he doesn't have anywhere else to vent and you were just the first lucky fic he saw. :/

You know, I think reviews on FFN are best read for the lulz. They're often nonsensical and bizarre.
