Just an FYI from someone who's paid dental claims for many years: if the broken tooth isn't bothering you right now, don't let them do anything but look at it. If you do need a crown, and they start it now by placing a temp on it, you may not be covered for the permanent crown if you do get a good dental plan with a new employer. The same goes if they say it needs a root canal since insurance plans would consider that either a root canal or a temp crown are work begun before the plan took effect and they won't pay for the permanent crown after the plan takes effect.
If you still have dental insurance and they can finish a root canal and/or crown by the end of the month you'd be ok. Let me know if you want to talk about this and we can arrange a call.
I'm told it could, but I'm worried about health care in between. It's *not* a contract-to-hire gig; it's a straight contract with an "I can put in a good word for you with another group" on the side.
