Murders weren't often her thing, and neither was poking in on other people's business. But her isolation from the Titan's had led to boredom, and she was disciplined enough to know that nothing good every came from her being bored. So when Raven heard the story being broadcast over the police radio she'd borrowed - it had been in her best interest to investigate ( ... )

Edward glanced at the new arrival, one of the Teen Titans, if his extensive mental database had identified her correctly. He nodded politely at her, then he turned his eyes back to the widow while trying to remember what Raven's special abilities were and what, if any, advantage she might lend him in this case.

Once he had her out of earshot, Edward found he was still unable to simply tell her what he had already ascertained. The carefully practiced blank look on the girl's face was reminding him so irresistibly of Batman that he automatically wanted to present all his answers as riddles. It was only a hunch, of course, but he rather suspected such a course of action would not end well. He compromised by instead leading her through the steps of his investigation thus far ( ... )
