What really matters

It was a typical morning.  I stood in the kitchen with my bare feet on the cool, bamboo flooring, preparing the morning breakfast for the cats.  Stanley stands up on his hind legs,  reaches his paws just under my night shirt touching my left knee cap and with a little squeak of a meow, he lets me know that I am working too slow.   I look down to ( Read more... )

I get so angry when I hear stories like this. Animals are not just throw away things that, when you lose interest, you can just abandon them. Arg! Sigh. I hope the kitty found a home.

Kitty is currently living in my master bedroom. This literally just happened on valentine's day.

It is exhausting but I can not, not stop. There are too many in need. a couple of good things during the height of COVID and quarantine were so many less shootings in the city and people were adopting animals instead of abandoning them.

Wow, 4 cats. What a great family!

Our Daisy dog is a rescue. She was on the list to be put down at the pound. We got her Sept 27 and well, she has some challenging habits but she is family. She is snoring by me on the couch as I write this comment.

Sorry you deal with such danger in your city. Please stay safe!

Thank you for all you do to save animals!

Thank you. Actually we have 6 cats those are just the ones that hang out in the kitchen for breakfast most mornings. :)

Baltimore is always in the top 5 with the most murders unfortunately. We are currently #2 in the nation with 51 murders so far this year. I live just on the outskirts of the city so my neighborhood is a bit safer, although no place is without crime.

Lovely and heartwarming to know that there are others out there who share my feeling about animals. All live matters, animals are sentient beings like us and aslso feel love, fear, loyalty etc.Keep up the good work and good luck with your entry x
