"I hope you understand that the entire time we're here, you're going to have to keep to your role."

Her daughter nods, and Trillian is slightly calmer for it.

"You are mute, but you can hear, and you can play -- you will remain a musician, you are free to act as one, but you are not here with me, you do not know me under any guise, and you are not to use your own name."

Random rolls her eyes, making a gagging motion. She knows. Trillian's said it a million times, and it isn't like Random hasn't figured out that 'investigative' is a big part of 'investigative reporting.'

"Don't make faces at me."

Random giggles, slightly, and writes all I can do on her tablet.

She's practicing not speaking mentally, and she's doing fairly well.

Trillian smiles.

"Then let's go."
