Prompt: Snape/Hermione, when darkness falls
Word count: 100 (wohoo!)
Rating: pretty clean

"It's ok" he whispered, tightening his embrace.

She shuddered - not because of the cold, but because things definitely weren't ok.

"They think you're dead... we all thought you were dead!" Hermione breathed, holding on to him. She wasn't willing to let him go just yet.

It was a blessing and a curse. He was safe yet had lost everything. He knew he couldn't stay any longer - not here, not now. As the sun finally settled over the lake, he bent down to kiss her one last time.

"Find me" he told her before stepping back, disapparating.

The darkness kept falling.

Dark and slightly angsty, JUST how I loooooove my sshg!! Thank you so much, I love it.

The imagery of the sun setting was just gorgeous-- and then that last line! Lovely!!!

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it :) ... I still feel a bit rusty after more than 6 years of not writing any fanfiction, so I was glad and lucky that I got my favourite pairing!

Oh, this is so evocative, raises so many questions that I'd love to see answered (and I don't even read the pairing).
