The cellar at Spinner’s End was crawling with rats. Once he transformed, Lupin couldn’t stop himself from chasing them, as any canine would. He’d caught seven before sunrise, their mauled corpses piled in a corner. As the sun rose higher, he waited and waited for the sound of the key in the lock...
