Draco left out an exasperated huff and yanked his head up hastily, forgetting where he was. Fragrant pine needles rained down on him and stuck to his fine cashmere vest. “Oh for the love of-”
Once he had extricated himself from the tree, he turned around and eyed the young child standing solemnly in front of him. “Well if you’re so smart, why don’t you do it then?”
The girl stepped forward, plucked the glass bulb from his hand, and disappeared underneath the branches. Within seconds the tree lit up, its branches twinkling brightly from the Muggle lights strung along them.
“Well?” he asked his daughter as she stood beside him to admire the sight. She nodded fiercely, her thick, brown curls bouncing around her face. “It’s perfect. I think Mum would’ve liked it.”
Oh, goodness, this is so adorable! Draco utterly failing at Muggle technology, and of course their daughter would know how a lightbulb would work -- honestly! -- and, really, this is perfect. :)
