The violence of it was gut wrenching. It felt as though a vice held his intestines and twisted for all it was worth. With a horrific jolt it propelled him forward, viciously splattering him onto the dais. Keen sense of smell still left over from an alternate form, sniffing the air around him, she came to him. Warm and musky remnants of a life lost more than a decade ago, his heart sang. She had waited, had come for him. The fight, the world of spirit and nightmare, beyond the veil, it all melted away as she howled. He lived!
