This is just so quiet and lovely and... comfortable. They're so comfortable together, like a favorite shirt, but in the best of ways. This is a real feel-good fic and I think I'll mem it for when this wonderful feeling is needed again. Thank you!

Yay. This is wonderful.
I love the quietness of the discovery of what's between them.

This was beautiful. So many wonderful phrases and imagery, from Earth's night sky being alien, to the pinpoints in John's eyes, to kissing under foreign stars...I really enjoyed this, a lot! :o)

yay! Imagery that works! And I figure, five years defending a place, living in it and making it your own means that where you come from has got to feel a little strange. I know I feel weird when I go home; John and Rodney had to as well.

Thanks for reading and I'm happy you enjoyed it:)

The mask of indifference was so completely thorough Rodney almost missed the shadow of regret that passed through John's eyes.
There's this ephemeral undercurrent of melancholy so I was anxious and relieved when they both got on the same page by the end - because that outcome was never guaranteed. Then there's the whole natural domesticity of Jack's cabin - a bubble of calm in their often too dangerous lives - that is extremely appealing.

Just (mmmmmmm) lovely.
