I really like that the ending wasn't an all out schmoop-fest. Don't get me wrong, those stories are nice too, but in this case, less was definitely more.

I really like the idea of them being caught up in something totally random and beyond their control. Somehow it seems exactly like the Ancients to come up with something that complicated just to warn people off the planet.
