1.) How long have you been writing fanfic?
I think the first piece of fanfiction I wrote was a sequel to a tv version of "Last of the Mohicans." This must have been in 1979 or 1980? I kept adding to it for years, but figured no one would ever want to read a sequel to "Last of the Mohicans." Silly me -- Sara Donati wrote a sequel to LotM entitled "Into the Wilderness" in the mid-90s. She just published the fifth book of the series this spawned.
2.) Have you participated in any other fandoms?
My primary fandom for a long time has been children's literature/girls' series books. I belong to a Betsy-Tacy listserv, a Beany Malone listserv -- my lj name comes from the Beany Malone series by Lenora Mattingly Weber. I love Harry Potter, though the HP fandom is a little too scary for me. I belonged to a Buffy list comprised of children's librarians and authors. I lurked in Buffy for a long time but didn't participate past reading and leaving feedback. I have pages of an Angel epic on my laptop, but I doubt it will ever see the light of day. SGA is the first fandom in which I have ever had the nerve to post fic.
3.) What do you enjoy most about SGA?
It's just a fun, enjoyable show. I like the characters, I like the improbable plots. I LOVE John Sheppard. I love John Sheppard with Rodney McKay. The SGA fandom is relatively even keeled, and the quality of fic is amazing.
4.) Why Team Angst?
I love reading angst with a fiery passion. I'm never more satisfied than when I finish a story in a sodden mass of tears. I've mostly written romcom, so I decided to try the angst. Also, when Trin was pimping Team Angst she made some comment about writing a angsty screwball comedy, and that intrigued me.
5.) Where can people find your fic?
What I have actually let out of my nervous hands and published is at my livejournal under my fic tag. "Fic" is the only tag I have so it's pretty easy to find. I'm also in the process of posting my stuff at Wraithbait under lilacway.
