y'know, personally I don't like how it sounds, but I fully support the idea. The song was quite fitting, it puts the band out there, it might help more people just like it helped half this bandom. So yeah. Go Glee.

I'm really happy to see that the cover raised so much awareness for the original. I always assumed when Glee covered a song most people just downloaded the Glee version and left it at that.

Thank you for keeping us updated about this! I don't watch Glee and have no idea how it affects sales/charts, so this is really interesting to read. And personally I think it's great that the band's getting their music out to a larger audience.

The link you have to the full version of SING, is actually of sing!, a different song Glee has done. This is the link you want: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnBFjtrEL8k

I like the cover, myself. I love the original, but I like the Glee version too.

You're welcome!

I forgot to say that my mom (who is 66) thinks it's a beautiful song, and wants me to make her a copy of both versions. She's heard the original with me while visiting, and recognized it right away when she heard the Glee version, though she didn't know why or how she knew it. She'll probably always like the Glee version better (she's 66, okay? You try introducing Gerard's voice to a grandmother) but she actually wants a copy of the MCR original for her car! My mom kind of rules. :)

If I hadn't heard the original, I'd probably like the Glee version quite a lot. But as it stands, it just seems like a pallid imitation to me unfortunately.

But if it gets more people listening to the original, that's something ...
