Last Night

Oct 08, 2005 16:48

I have been to some sick concerts (EDM & otherwise) in my time but let me tell all of you, nothing was as amazing, pumpin' and perfect as what I experienced under the live influence of Infected Mushroom. The live-set, the sound, the atmosphere... I will definitely not forget this night for a long time, if ever ( Read more... )

I will give u my thoughts about IM last night... there are a lot of things that go throught ure head at an afterhours rave... very few make it on paper... plus it's kinda hard writing all this stuff to you over MSN... so here goes ( ... )

I totally agree with everything. The 'shifts' are happening with me as well... Trance was great till now but it's like life, you have fun then you settle down. House is exactly on that track.

The crowd last night was so nice! I hit so many people but if it had been any other rave I would've been lynched before the morning!

And to read that there is a more involved psy crowd in Toronto! I like the guy who put the flag up... that was a beautiful touch.

have you ever heard of the group freezepop? they're this electronica-type band from boston. their music is upbeat, creative, and brilliant (imo, though). you can pick up some of their music for free at their site in the "music" section:

http://www.freezepop.com/.

i highly recommend the "stakeout (donnerschlag remix)" song under the cd "hi-five my remix". a friend of mine in madrid introduced me to the band when they first started as her cousin went to the same high school as one of the band members. good stuff, i say!

it's definitely some good music. i'm glad you enjoy it.

while sifting through albums at hmv yesterday, i notice that they have a freezepop section (in/around/near the acid jazz area downstairs - i forget just what they're labeled under at the moment). if you're interested in getting more of their stuff, i say check that place out.

oh neato! unfortunately i don't buy music (yet). :) my parents don't believe in wasting money on CDs so i never have enough money to spend on them. that will change once i'm earning my own moolah though. till then, thank goodness there's so much available online. it'll be interesting to see how accessible their stuff is online.

i always find it exciting to see how many people know or how accessible music is of a band/group/person who you either found out first hand or through someone you know.
