Last Night
I have been to some sick concerts (EDM & otherwise) in my time but let me tell all of you, nothing was as amazing, pumpin' and perfect as what I experienced under the live influence of Infected Mushroom. The live-set, the sound, the atmosphere... I will definitely not forget this night for a long time, if ever

we came in at 4am, but got into the room at 4:30 coz Ovi had some... coat checker accidents :p
So, from 4:30 to 6:00 Infected Mushroom had their LIVE set. This means they use synthesisers and a large mixing table to actually remix live. They create music sometimes, sometimes they add lyrics or sometimes they take an existing track and mix the shit out of it. Last night they had an electric guitar player that blended with the style wonderfully.
The LIVE set is the bomb... its the most interesting part because that is the show. They capture the audience with their innovative sounds that just tear the room apart.
From 6 to 7:30 IM went behind the decks and did mixing... that is take existing tracks and mix em, thus creating a regular DJ set. This is what 99.99% of DJ's do when they come to a rave. They only mix, not create.
From 7:30 to 8:15 we stayed for this DJ, Clown, a psy-goa DJ that turned the music too loud, but was dropping some great beats... they were more powerful beats than what IM had... but he didn't have the feeling that IM put into their sets. I loved it when he dropped GMS - Juice (Requiem for a Dream). That is one of my fav psy tracks ever.
So, this is it... the psy experience, the IM experience... all at ARIA...
