Finally the pictures from that three gun match from three or four weeks ago.

Yeah I should probably be working but 36hours in the first three days of this week has me a bit worn out especially with all the travel in the previous three weeks. A quick break to start catching up on some journal entries.

Lots of pictures and rambling stage explanation behind cut )

One thing occurred to me looking at the "turret gunner" photo. I hope the stool's range of rotation is limited, because there's at least a minor possibility of that stage being dangerous since the shooter has such a limited field of view the entire time. Seems like a fun stage, though.

The stool was not limited but there is a very strict rule that you cannot let the muzzle of the gun break the 180 degree plane that is perpendicular to straight down range. Shooter that shoot this sport are very conscious of that rule as violation result in a match disqualification.

Wow! That looks like a good time! I see that your club is also big on large round counts for pistol and shotgun.

This was not my home club of Crook Creek Conservation Club but a nearby club, Pardoe Sportsman Club over in Western PA. But we like large round count stages too, last year IIRC we did a match with both a 40 and 60 round pistol stage.

That's more intricate than I'd imagined.

These were intricate but not the real brain buster stages. The Area 8 championship actually had stages that made your head hurt trying to figure out how to get to all the targets with the fewest location as possible. For a example take a look at this stage diagram. This is stage 8 "The Spy who Loved Me" (yes, Area 8 had a James Bond theme). If you study stage there turns out to be three location you can move to and see every target in the stage you just have to remember which one you have already shot and which you haven't. I beat I walked through this stage 12 times before I figured out how I was going to shoot it. -rambling

That's pretty messed up there, bro. Gees.

Oh, and I forgot to pass on the knowledge of Bullet Disposal to my friend Amy, but I shall do so. Thanks again for the clue-in.
