Getting ready to sight the AR in.

So I was doing a little research on sighting in my new AR-15. The standard battle sight that I am using has the shortest range mark at 300 meters. Not many ranges around let you shoot that far. So I found the following gem:

An improved battle zero

Basically you sight the rifle in at 50yards with the rear sight set 4 clicks (2 MOA) below the 300m mark on the rear sight. Using the windage on the rear sight and front post adjustment for elevation adjustment. This zero is than right on for 50 yards and ~200m with only a rise mid trajectory (~150yds) of just over 2 inches. Then if I need longer range the standard 300, 400, 500 and 600m marks on the rear sight should be correct using the 50yard (-2MOA) zero.

This will work great this Saturday since they only have 25, 50 and 100 yard ranges were I will be shooting.
