I could not find in English the different words for cold as a disease and a cold climate, both are "cold". There's something wise in this. I always catch a cold during the cold season. Winter is a curse for me. I've known this for years. And I hope the chages taking place in my life will someday end without winter.

Have no strenght to go on with my diary.

I'd better do all the right things at the end of my business trip.

My eye still hurts, the inflamation is just growing.

So I have to pull myself together.

I caught a cold in my eye last weekend. It distracts me a bit, but I still can work, though I do look hideous. I'd rather be fine by the weekend, but It doesn't look to happen, gonna change plans.

Lena got some other cold virus, skipped work the previous weeek and now feels sick  with a stuffy nose. But she is on the way to recovery it seems.

Living in Russia was not a choice. Who the hell will choose to live in SaintP?... It was enough to do nothing to stay here. So I did. Was it a choice to leave Russia in the fall of 2023? In recent years one more key points came into play in my life. Now it's not enough for me to find a job to pay the needs of my family, I'm also trying to fing my vocation.

All of a sudden substation automation engineering is not the one. It's not so bad job at all, but that's not my thing.

Not that there is the only problem here.

But the most frustrating is that I have no idea where I want to move (from those beggar coutries of CIS, which I actually like less than Russia).

What ideas might there be?

Let me try to briefly describe my everyday routine on this business trip in Armenia emphasizing the factors, that can picture life here somehow.

The company pays der diem of $30, and hopefully will cover the accomodation in guesthouse, which is $35 a day including halfboard.

One of my russian friends told me the other day: hope you don't stay for long in those cheap countries. Couldn't have said it better. All those CIS countries are not ok. Costs are close to european and salaries are close to russian. Both urban and rural environment are disgusting pretty much everywhere because of dirt, garbage and ignorant people.

Whatever the cost, we still allow ourselves to spend money in some way.

We own no cars now, whereas in Russia we both owned one with no loan. We usually use a bus or taxi to go somewhere in Almaty. Thus we have no way to make out-of-town trips and there are many interesting and beautiful places around Almaty to visit.

Over the past year I have lived in Armenia, Georgia and Kazakstan.

I left Russia about a year ago, after the mobilization has been started.

Could these countries around be considered as peaceful and safe?

I will say no.
