The weekend -- a stream of consciousness report

Got up early on Saturday because lorilei0120 had to work early, so I had to pick up Jax. The furnace was out. I looked out the window to make sure the vent wasn't plugged, then power cycled it. It started again. I think it does this when the wind is from a certain direction... I think that causes a backdraft on the vent and it thinks the vent is plugged ( Read more... )

My hot chocolate recipe:

8 oz milk
1 heaping tsp (not measuring spoon but rather the kind you eat with.) Ghirardelli's unsweetened cocoa
3 rounded tsp (same) sugar (but I like it sweet.)
Whipped cream makes it even sweeter! ;-)

I use my cocomotion to heat/mix it. Using the microwave was touchy getting the milk to the right temp. The stove might work better.

And I sympathize with your laundry situation.

Wow. Two of those a day? I now understand your 'points' problem. Have you tried skim milk and sucralose? Or just slowly cut back on the amount of sugar.

Notice I didn't come anywhere near your chocolate. I'm not stupid.

It uses skim milk. And actually, I haven't had one of those since I started working, cause I'm too lazy to wash the machine each time.

I usually have a packet of Nestle's cocoa in the car and they provide Swiss Miss at work. Those are 3 points each.

I used to drink the sugar/fat free mixes, which are 1 point, but I really hate sucralose.

Andy's been the one drinking the hot choco. The boys want it if they've been outside for a while... and we sometimes make it for P in the morning if he's acting like his sugar is really low. I like the Swiss Miss Dark, myself. It takes me 2 winters to drink a box of the mix, tho.

it seems that your laundry machines do not like you.

you have my sympathies. For I understand the power of the angsty washer.

have fun with your relaxation!
