My swim class is suddenly a much better deal

I started my breaststroke class last night. I debated whether to take it for quite a while - $100 for three classes is kind of steep - but, given my love/hate relationship with the front crawl (actually it's more tolerance/hate) and my zig-zagy backstroke, I feel like I need another stroke to keep me motivated. This makes me both look forward to my beginners swimming lessons and not look forward to it. What used to be just stay afloat and move in a general direction now seems to be more daunting with actually having to learn some actual strokes.

I'm going to go to Barton Springs tomorrow morning at 7:30 am to get a feel of swimming again before I try out the lanes at UT, which I still don't want to do cause then I'll be stuck swimming with college students, and I'm intimidated enough! But if Kat and I go at the same time we can share a lane.

Oh and I'm glad you didn't have to have gym envy, that's never a good thing.

Yeah, I'm always amazed at how many little details are involved in each stroke. I've been swimming since before I can remember, but some days you'd think I'd never been in the water before.
