[Vash peers up a bit, hopeful. He'd pick up the voice in the background but for the moment, he did not address it directly.]

Her name's...Meryl. [He struggles with that name a bit.]

I'm very sorry for interrupting you. Please...did she speak with you that morning or before? Did she say where she was headed?

[Vash scratches his head for a moment.]

[Himeno is being very cautious about who she opens the door to right now. But she remembers Vash and didn't think he seemed like someone to kill for a stupid reason like the ones they had been given. So she opens the door and looks over the picture. She remembers Meryl too from their brief conversation.]

[Vash definitely appreciated that.]

...loss of blood. And she...didn't return the next morning. I thought people were supposed to do that here.

[She looks sad. People shouldn't be dying like this. She should have been able to help.]

I'm afraid I don't know anything. I've been staying inside ever since I got that letter...

[This time, the form he sees through the window is definitely not somebody he knows, so Holland won't open the door just yet, his sharp voice only calling through. ]

[Vash calls back, undeterred by any cold welcomes.]

There was a woman killed last night in the street. She was murdered! I'm trying to find out if anyone saw or knows anything about it.

Er, well...apparently some people are getting assassination letters mailed to them? I think she may have gotten caught up in this.

[It takes him only a moment to recall the paper in his hands, quickly pushing it to the door's opening.]

You haven't seen this woman outside the window at all?

[ Chell opens the door just barely, looking quite a sight. It is apparent she hasn't slept well in a while.

She peers at him through the small crack, portal gun clutched out of sight in one hand. Nothing personal she's just not in a trusting mood right now. ]
