A seething Minato, brought to the boiling point from witnessing the death of his "mother" and the rest of his droned teammates, enters the office, quite intent on gathering answers...only to find his would-be interrogatee dead. Tch. In frustration, he kicks some of the debris away, and tries to gather some of the scraps on the floor. But it's no use...the documents have been thoroughly torn. He can't piece together any of this shit.
And when he reads the note left by the mayor...he slams it back down, atypically disgusted.]

Why are there so many children acting alone? You should leave this to adults. Get to somewhere safe.
[This was a case of the pot calling the kettle black, as she had started her job as an Enforcer at fifteen years of age. However, she had several years of training as a mage and was mature for her age. Now, as an adult and an Enforcer, she felt obligated to protect the children left homeless in the wake of whatever had destroyed the town.]

And who are you?

Bazett Fraga McRemitz. What about you?
[The boy seems overconfident about his ability to handle himself in this ruined town; like all children his age, he seems unaware of the very real dangers lurking behind every corner. She has seen this all too many times, with Edelfelt being a prime example; she herself had experienced it when she was his age.]
Seeing how you're a child, you probably don't work here. If so, why are you in here, of all place? And why are you looking through papers instead of trying to find food or clothing?

[Unfortunately, Minato has been through situations as bad as this, Bazett. At least there's no monstrous Shadows popping up :V]
Looking for information. Unfortunately, everything important has been destroyed.

[She also sees that the boy seems to have some measure of exprience with situations like these. It is not enough to make her stop worrying about him, but still enough to reassure her that he will not get killed too quickly.]
Would you like me to help you search?
[Even if he refused, she would stay alongside him as a guardian of sorts, if only to make sure nothing attacked him while he was distracted.]
If there's nothing of value here, then have you checked all the other rooms?

[He doesn't personally care if someone helps him. Actually, he really could have tried calling over Akihiko, Liz, or Yosuke to help him. He just hadn't thought of it in his mad rush to the office. But, he's here. Might as well make due.]
Not yet.
[That'll be his next goal, since sorting through all these scraps of paper was fruitless.]

[She walks up to the closest door and, without even trying the knob, kicks it. If there are any enemies behind the door, then she does not want to give them any time to react.
[Even given her current human status, the force she put into her blow should have broken down the door, as well as given any sentient beings in the room a nasty surprise. However, she did not know about the traps in the Mayor's office. As it was, a powerful electric shock knocked her on her back.]
Ugh...Bounded field?
[She was seeing stars and her ears were ringing. If she did not have a high pain tolerance built up from her experiences as a magus, she would certainly have been knocked out.]

Be careful there. This place isn't safe.

[Alright, this is officially embarrassing. She had stayed with the intention of protecting and helping the boy...and now he is helping her up after she had suffered the consequences of her own impulsive actions. As an Enforcer, she really should have known better.]
I'm alright.
{She stands up a little too quickly and stumbles as it makes her head spin. However, she manages to remain standing.]
No direct attacks then.
[Whether magecraft or human technology, the doors were well-protected. She should have accounted for this, but the building had seemed so mundane that she had relaxed her guard.]
Do you think this will work?
[She picks up the corpse lying on the ground by one of its ankles. If bare hands do not work, it is time to switch to weapons...however improvised they might be.]

You're not serious.
[No, she does look serious. :|]

[She pulls back her arm and swings the corpse as hard as she can at the door. It hits head-first, creating a dent in the already damaged skull.]
[The resulting electric shock has less effect than the previous one, seeing how it did not contact her directly. Her half-paralyzed arm drops the body, now twitching in some strange, jerking, macabre dance due to the electricity.]
Damn. Have to try again then.
[She waits until the body stops twitching to try to pick it up again with her other hand. By now, it should be apparent that this woman's single-mindedness knows no bounds. It was not for nothing that her superior often referred to her as a Berserker Class Heroic Spirit.]

[Okay, you keep doing that. Minato's just going to leave.]

Kid.
[She calls to the boy, who is already stepping away.]
It seems brute force will not work, or at least, will not work at the level that I am applying it. Do you have any other way to open the door?
[If she still had her magecraft, she would be able undo the bounded field. It would take some work, but she would eventually be able to break it down. However, as she is now, she only has the options of continuing to try to force it open or find some way to pick the lock. Given that both her arms were temporarily paralyzed and she had no experience with human technology, it meant that she had to depend on the child to find some way to open the lock.]
Reply
[He pulls out a kitchen knife.]
But I don't think we should tamper with the locks.
[If just trying to kick the door down resulted from shock, then it stands the locks would also have protection.]
Reply
[She tries to take the knife from him. Her body can bear the pain of the electric shocks better than his can. However, her fingers refuse to wrap around the handle properly, and as a result, she can only let him keep the knife.]
I dislike saying this, but it seems you will have to handle the locks. It will take a while for my arms to heal and I also do not understand human technology very well.
[She glances at the now singed corpse.]
If you fail, I'll keep on bashing the door until it gives.
