Who: Open for exploration. Mods will only be tagging back in one instance, however! First come first serve.
Where: The Mayor's Office.
When: Any time after the start of the event.
What: The Mayor's Office seems untouched by the devastation pervading Mayfield. The front door's open; will you head inside?
Warnings: Blood.
The lights in the Mayor's office are out, and the door creaks as you open it. While the building seems structurally sound, something is strange about the interior of the lobby: whereas the Mayor's Office has previously been a clean, pristine office building, this lobby is a broken-down, dust-filled relic- it's as though this building has been untouched and abandoned for years.
If you came here hoping to break into the Mayor's personal office and snoop around, that's going to be a problem: every door further inside the lobby is locked, and attempting to open them will result in a severe electric shock, as always. The floor of the lobby is littered with piles of ash and shredded papers. Whatever documents you came here to find, it seems Mayor Doe took care to destroy. A handwritten note lies on the lobby's front desk:
Oh, I know why you're here. You want answers, don't you? Going to plunder my office for all the secrets of Mayfield while I'm down, is that it?
Ha. Hahaha. I don't think so. Oh no. I won't be staying long enough to see what happens to you fucking people, but at least I can take comfort in knowing that I won't be leaving anything behind for you to plunder like the dirty little thieves you are. I destroyed it all, see? Every last bit. Serves you right- this is YOUR FAULT, you know. If you had just shown a little more gratitude, just did what we told you, this wouldn't be happening. We do so much for you, and did you ever appreciate it? No. No you didn't.
Grady had it right all along. You people don't deserve a light touch. We should have crushed you all a long time ago.
I hope they kill every last one of you.
If you were hoping to confront the man himself and extract some answers from him, that's also going to be a problem, because he's currently laying in the middle of the lobby floor with a bullet hole through his forehead and a small pistol clutched in his hand. A pile of blood pools from below his head, and his eyes stare vacantly at the ceiling.
Despite the Mayor's best efforts, however, there seems to be one thing he's missed: something black, hard and flat poking out from one of his desk drawers.
