[Dist isn't the sort to just lie back when something goes horribly wrong, and given where the call had come from... well, he knows where to make a beeline to.

The note just gets a subtle glance over, but the Mayor gets the most of his attention. Just in case, Dist snatches up the gun, then starts an investigation proper.
