Just before midnight the air is cool, calm, almost pleasant. Slugger drags his metal bat over the asphalt as he rolls up the street, the only sound to disturb the silence tonight. Shortly after, he skids to a halt before one of the homes on this block and peers up at the windows. There is a particular inhabitant whom he has not seen out tonight and is curious to find. In a matter of seconds, he is no longer standing in the street, but inside the house---specifically, Ai's room---where he hopes to find her.
