Kink Bingo Achievements!

So, I completed one bingo for kink_bingo on dreamwidth. Granted, it was a series of drabbles, but I did twenty five of them. The link is here. The card I used is the first communal card here (link a bit NWS) There is a variety of pairings and situations here.

These were lovely! My favorites were Housework, Godhood (pretty much how I imagine Light getting off -- thinking about his power and influence as Kira), Comfort, and Orgy (*shaking head, laughing* Namikawa's just too cool for school).

I really like the concept of Rem using the Death Note to provide Misa with these disposable one-time pleasures. It's at once disturbing, sad, and bittersweet and totally something Rem would do. That last line is excellent.

Wait, I forgot one - Same. I was thinking the other day about the whole concept of self-double pairing (maybe there is an existing term for this, I don't know) -- I like it a lot, just thinking how exciting and scary it would be to be with someone who knows you like you know yourself. I suppose it wouldn't be scary for Light at all, though. I can just imagine the kind of mind games that would play out between them, heh.

Thank you! :) If Light has any sort of sexuality, it stems from his own sense of power. I love Namikawa a whole bunch; I see him being so disdainful, especially when it comes to Higuchi.

Yes, Rem's affection for Misa always seems to have a disturbing slant to it. Because she feels that way, but she's not coming from any sort of idea of human morality. Of course, in Death Note, human morality is all over the place, but the shinigami are entirely removed from it.

Light is so narcissistic that I don't think he'd see his match in anybody who wasn't exactly like him. He has particular issue with women, it seems, so I gave him a female version of himself. It would be fun to write something longer about this, and again for a number of other characters.

It is amazing how different Rem's attitude is toward Misa than Ryuk's toward Light.

I like the distinction you make between human morality and shinigami morality. Is Light's morality closer to human or shinigami? What about Misa's? Still, there's something very appealing about spending your days playing card games in a world that's dying…

I hope you follow through with turning some of these into longer stories (my favorites notwithstanding!).

Oh, on the topic of characters paired with themselves I can't help but wonder what MatsudaxMatsuda would be like. I think it would blow my mind, actually. :P

Oh, yes. It's an interesting comparison to make, definitely, although I'm not fond of making it in terms of 'Rem is the good to Ryuk's evil', because I don't think that's the case.

Oh, definitely. I dislike the humanising of their morality. It's removed, and Light and Misa are, too, possibly, but since they are human, this makes them disordered.

Ah, yes, there's so much. I kinda want to sit down and write for a day and see what gets written, haha.

Oh, yes. Matsuda is one character that I would definitely genderswap. Female Matsuda would be sweet, but I fear she'd have even more trouble than he in getting taken seriously.

The Rem/Misa one is... incredibly, incredibly sad in a very understated way. It may also be practically canon in my mind now.

I think what I enjoyed about most of these was the insight into the situations, pretty much all of which felt really intriguing and - well, right, or significant, for the people involved. Like Mello getting Halle pregnant, or Takada being into caning, or Misa making a move on a drunk Sayu. They were really interesting and the vignettes you chose to present got across the potential ramifications really well!

I also loved Matt being like "... huh. Tentacle porn" :D

I don't think Rem/Misa can be anything but incredibly sad. And thanks, I love when you say things like that about my fics. :D

:D Since I tend not to centre things on specific kinks that often, it was quite fun to work out how they would fit. Mello getting Halle pregnant wasn't ever something I had considered even if I do like the pairing, but the prompt covered pregnancy, which made me think and now I kinda want to write a longer fic where she gets pregnant and he survives and they kind of end up muddling through everything, somehow (there's a lot to consider). And I sort of like the idea of Takada and Mikami having this mundane sexual relationship where they have all these interests and experimentations like normal people, even though they're, well, them.

Heh, yeah, I had the square and wanted to stick to DN, so it had to be something a little trippy since Death Note isn't really conducive to tentacle porn.

I would like to see Mello trying to be a parent. Or, alternatively, not trying at all. I think it'd be fascinating, especially Halle's attitudes on the other hand!

Yeah. The Takada/Mikami thing can either be kind of cute, in a weird way, or sad.

It was fun! They're currently having monthly challenges if you're interested (you can enter those at any time during amnesty, even if it's not during that particular month.).

Mm, it would be interesting. He'd pretty young, and with his background, that would be hard enough for him, and then everything with Kira and his own criminal status. And the contrast with Halle, too. It always seemed a bit cheezy but after writing that I'd love to attempt something serious with it, or read something serious. Plus birth after all that death has a certain appeal.

Definitely. Especially since it's sort of semi-professional, but it's probably a new world for him (for some reason, I see him being sort of inexperienced with relationships and sex).
