Kink Bingo Achievements!

So, I completed one bingo for kink_bingo on dreamwidth. Granted, it was a series of drabbles, but I did twenty five of them. The link is here. The card I used is the first communal card here (link a bit NWS) There is a variety of pairings and situations here.

The Rem/Misa one is... incredibly, incredibly sad in a very understated way. It may also be practically canon in my mind now.

I think what I enjoyed about most of these was the insight into the situations, pretty much all of which felt really intriguing and - well, right, or significant, for the people involved. Like Mello getting Halle pregnant, or Takada being into caning, or Misa making a move on a drunk Sayu. They were really interesting and the vignettes you chose to present got across the potential ramifications really well!

I also loved Matt being like "... huh. Tentacle porn" :D

I don't think Rem/Misa can be anything but incredibly sad. And thanks, I love when you say things like that about my fics. :D

:D Since I tend not to centre things on specific kinks that often, it was quite fun to work out how they would fit. Mello getting Halle pregnant wasn't ever something I had considered even if I do like the pairing, but the prompt covered pregnancy, which made me think and now I kinda want to write a longer fic where she gets pregnant and he survives and they kind of end up muddling through everything, somehow (there's a lot to consider). And I sort of like the idea of Takada and Mikami having this mundane sexual relationship where they have all these interests and experimentations like normal people, even though they're, well, them.

Heh, yeah, I had the square and wanted to stick to DN, so it had to be something a little trippy since Death Note isn't really conducive to tentacle porn.

Yeah, I can imagine it would be an interesting challenge to do (as I don't tend to centre stuff round kinks much either).

I would like to see Mello trying to be a parent. Or, alternatively, not trying at all. I think it'd be fascinating, especially Halle's attitudes on the other hand!

Yeah. The Takada/Mikami thing can either be kind of cute, in a weird way, or sad.

It was fun! They're currently having monthly challenges if you're interested (you can enter those at any time during amnesty, even if it's not during that particular month.).

Mm, it would be interesting. He'd pretty young, and with his background, that would be hard enough for him, and then everything with Kira and his own criminal status. And the contrast with Halle, too. It always seemed a bit cheezy but after writing that I'd love to attempt something serious with it, or read something serious. Plus birth after all that death has a certain appeal.

Definitely. Especially since it's sort of semi-professional, but it's probably a new world for him (for some reason, I see him being sort of inexperienced with relationships and sex).

Yeah. I think if you kept Mello IC - and heck, if you didn't make Halle too OMG BABIES - that could balance out the cheese. And I agree, hopeful DN post-canon stories are nice to balance out the chest-punch of the ending...

Oh, completely. And it being a world he feels very ambivalent and wary of, too, I'll bet.

Aw, I probably shouldn't encourage it, then. But it is a lot of fun. But you need a dreamwidth account. But those are easy to get. But...is that more fic you've got in the works? :O

Yeah, definitey, I don't think either of them would be omg babies. Mello would probably be kind of 'WTF...!!!' and Halle I see as being sensible and kind of intimidating and probably not the motherly sort, and they wouldn't exactly be an established couple so they'd have that to contend with, too. She'd have to want to keep it, but maybe she wants not to work for a good long while after that and needs an excuse. I think it would be interesting, I might try it. And, definitely. It's so, so sad but there's this bit of hope.

Oh, yeah, definitely. Death Note has an uncommon high number of characters who are prone to obsessiveness and paranoia, but Mikami might just take the cake.

I'm afraid it's not on this occasion - I'm trying to write an original story (my first one in, like, ten years or something). I'm also toying with the idea of finishing off my Death Note/Saw crossover, though... >_> And maybe doing a couple of things for 40fandoms, which has started today.

Yeah, I think Halle's thoughts on it could go a number of ways but I could certainly see her feeling ambivalent, especially with the father being someone so... unique ^^ I would love it if you tried it, I'm really intrigued now! ^^

Ah, original fiction. That's something I come back to, periodically. I've yet to read your DN/Saw crossover/s, but I will do definitely.

Yes, unique he is, indeed. :D I think, though, that's part of what makes it so interesting to me. I'm not so interested in writing something where the father is, say, Gevanni or Rester, unless it was a side pairing or a one-shot, because I'm so fond of dysfunction in my DN.

Your readership is always much appreciated if you want to check them out! They're scattered about a bit (but if I manage to rewrite this finale, I'd do a mass linking ^^)

Yeah. Certainly a more normal father wouldn't lend itself to such a long story - unless you were inventing quite a lot, and that's a whole other discussion about fanfic...

Yup, I think I'd need to concoct sides of Rester and/or Gevanni (or Halle, herself), for that to work in a way that means the situation with a baby can be the focal point and not be boring.
