*flails around with you* With that Castiel and the Anna and WOOBIE!DEAN! OMG! And bad Sammy! But he was so good, too. And Ruby was so... RUBY! And just... yes. You summed it up nicely. :D
Yeah, all of the characterization was excellent, consistent but with new insights, too. And I think we can definitely say that Ruby is not exactly a good guy, now.
Ohh Sam. Dean is not weak - he can do it! in fact he can anything you can do, only better and without demon blood powers. *nods* he's just a little broken right now .. but his Angel friend will help fix him :]] mhm. yay for Castiel!
*pouts* Sam "needs" demon blood. he's like a drug addict .. "I need it" blahblah. AND on top of that horribleness he let RUBY call him SAMMY. not cool
In a way Sam's right--Dean has been battered, a lot, by his ordeal, and he's not quite the same Dean he used to be. The way that Sam said that, and the fact that he said it to Ruby, really put me off though.
teehee I know. I feel like someone needs to defend Dean against his own brother. Sam is right but he should/could be more understanding! honestly his poor brother is broken and he's too busy drinking his skanky girlfriends blood to care. =( but yes, I agree with what you said.
I know, sweetie! Oh my gosh, I got cold chills when Dean first turned to look at Alastair. The look on his face was soooo scary. Looks like I really picked the best expression for my Comes the Inquisitor artwork, doesn't it
( ... )
I think the people who complain about Dean whining have never been through any kind of trauma of their own. Never had the rug pulled out from under them and their world shattered and their sense of self pulled into question. Because yes, this is how it feels. And dang, I identify with Dean more strongly than I ever did. "I can't do it, it's too big..." Yeah. I hear you, hon. Doesn't mean it's true, but that's definitely how it feels.
I love Castiel and Dean's relationship immensely. And I think you're right--it's very different from what Dean and Sam have. So it's a good thing, really. Dean deserves to have more people in his corner than just his brother, though his brother is clearly awesome and amazing.
Ruby calling Sam "Sammy" is just so WRONG. D: C'mon Sam, remember when you said that only Dean was allowed to call you that?
And the thought about it actually being Meg...that's pretty cool. I really wouldn't put anything past Show at this point.
I know, I wouldn't either. I went back and re-watched the scene in Shadow where Meg has them both captive again last night. She crawls up into Sam's lap just like Ruby did on Thursday night. It really would be something if it turned out that it is Meg and she's been playing her usual games all along. If nothing else, at least since Ruby's been back this time.
I have to admit I thought of you last night while watching and all the development with Cas. I just knew it'd make you happy. My husband's a huge religious mythology buff - and he was absolutely giddy when Uriel went into his spiel about how the Father was no longer their father when he created humans and how Lucifer was still their brother...the Enochian just tickled him all to pieces too. Was an absolutely awesome episode. :)
