My link isn't working? :( It was to a Mediate column about Keith attacking people over Twitter. His twitlonger note was especially lousy with mansplaining.
Sorry for not really answering earlier--I was at work and they monitor internet use.
Short version: Michael Moore and Keith Olbermann both said very dismissive things and spread misinformation about the rape charges against Julian Assange. A few ladies on the internet have taken exception and started a twitter protest with the hashtag #mooreandme. Moore hasn't responded at all, but Olbermann went all nasty and mansplainy and continues to NOT GET WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS. >:(
It made me get out my angry eyes, basically, which is rare.

I have a couple of links posted (working now) if you're interested in more information. Meanwhile, I'm bakin' cookies. :)
That's cool, I had to go through the same thing in highschool.
Ah, I see. I have't really been following it, just because I think my head will explode if I do, but what really gets me is the way people just dismiss the charges against Assange as being fake or a smear campaign immediately because he's an editor of Wikileaks. Julian Assange != Wikileaks, and just because he works for it does not mean he immediately gets a free pass on what are some very serious allegations.
I'm really disappointed in Olbermann's behaviour too, because in the past I've seen him actually deal with things in a rational and sensible manner, and actually apologising when it was pointed out that he was wrong.
Also, Olbermann bringing up the fact that one of his relatives had been a victim of sexual assault, and therefore he just couldn't be dismissive of these allegations, come on, you guys, was pretty disgusting.
I know. It was so totally "But I have a black friend, so I can't be racist."
The latest article at tigerbeatdown.com points out even more disturbing stuff from him. But yeah, if you don't want to follow it, don't. The situation is so maddening.
