I was too tired yesterday to really explain why I'd had such a nasty customer service experience (along with my already frustrating day), so let me explain ( Read more... )

*hug* I used to take my car to a place that would knock the price down if you brought in a case of beer. And then another that wouldn't charge tax if you paid cash. Neither is ever a good sign. :-P

I'm very glad you found a better place to go right away! Woo! \o/

Haha, no, those are not good signs. :D I used to take my car to a backyard mechanic who just took cash, too. And he was a good guy, don't get me wrong, but it still felt a little skeevy. And I knew very well that he was just doing it that way because he was on disability and needed extra money that wasn't tracked by the government.

You know how I said that some people just should never ever work in customer service? Yeah, that guy falls into that category. I was about to say that he should hire someone to deal with people for him, but then I would just pity whoever had that job.

But yes. I think it is wonderful that you were able to find a place to just calm down and be happy. Oh little n'animals, you make great stress-reducers. (Although I have a few dogs, and they are far from 'little n'animals'.)

He does have some guys working for him in the back, putting the new tires on the rims and stuff, but I doubt they have to deal with him directly very much, either. :)

Animals are wonderful for stress relief. ♥

I don't remember where I first read it, but when I know that I read in some magazine that pets could help reduce stress and in response you were in less danger of, like, heart attacks and stuff.

SO BASICALLY, DOGGIES AND KITTIES AND LITTLE FLUFFIES CAN MAKE YOU LIVE LONGER. BEST EXCUSE FOR PETS EVER. (I love my dogs so very very much. I do get calmer whenever I pet her and she gives me attention ^0^)

He said "two fifteen" which I took to be the price, which surprised me, though later my aunt said it could have been the time the wheel would be in. ...

"I'm the person who called earlier asking you to order that new tire, the P215..."

Looks like there might have been a third possibility there....

But he sounds like an incredible jerk. What utterly bizarre behavior.

Yeah, I really don't know. It was all kind of fast and I knew he was mad already so I got off that phone as quick as I could. I knew calling back to cancel was going to be unpleasant, but I didn't expect THAT reaction.

Bizarre is right.
