There's this slightly creepy older geek-man in my photography class who's gradually working his way up to asking me to model for him during the portraits section. Oh! The belly dancing book quote describes things very well. Makes me think of all the times the Bible says to "wait". To make it all over-logical, I think our subconscious is very good at collecting data and processing it without our knowing it. Then we just know and can't explain it and people think we're weird. Hey, it works. ;)

And I hardly think "acknowledging" equals fitting a Christian stereotype. In fact, I sometimes wonder if God hates the stereotypes as much as I do. Joel likes to say that he thinks we'll be astounded and perhaps horrified by who actually ends up in heaven--and who doesn't. Sounds a bit ominous, but also more free and exciting than the standard. And I think it fits the "sheep and goats" story better than the usual Christian way of defining saved and unsaved.
