The 8th-grader entered an essay into the National History Day contest and she got 3rd, which means she advances to the state level. I know she was nervous because she told me that after she submitted it she realized that she didn't have any primary sources listed, only secondary.
She is allowed to revise before the next level. -
why is this scene familiar?
Just finished reading The Orchid Affair by Lauren Willig and there is a scene in it that is so very familiar that I am almost positive I have read it before, long ago. Since the book was published in 2011, it seems unlikely, so maybe I am just remembering something similar. Anyone remember where it might be from?
