Star Magazine published an interview of Hugh Laurie that was shared online yesterday. I was asked to do a translation. So here it is.

I am not completely convinced that this is a real-time interview with Hugh. The timing is off, and he basically parrots what David Shore said about the finale, almost word for word. The description of his his music career as secondary to his acting is in direct contradiction to what he has said (and been filmed saying) elsewhere, which is that music is what he would very much like to do full time. And while he has admitted that living in LA is stressful, I do not buy for a second that he would tell a reporter that his marriage has experienced "near disasters."

This is not credible enough to get upset about, IMO.

OMG I had the exact same reaction as you to this interview! It doesn't ring true. There's no way he'd be so candid about House nearly destroying his marriage. NEVER has he ever been so blunt. He barely talks about Jo as it is but here he's admitting he nearly got divorced. Something feels off. And we ALL know he'd rather be playing music full time. Come on.

Thank you so much, Maya! Gosh I sure don't know what all the fuss was. I'll know better next time not to believe everything I read. I DON'T want [H]OUSE to go out with a 'bang' though as Hugh does. So THAT will give me something to worry about until the series finale. LOL!!
