Likely change of plan

Well, hell. I finally sat down and started sewing ruffles on my can-can skirt lining to discover... I have NOWHERE NEAR enough ruffles. I cut them too narrow and so it's going to take twice as many rows to get to the top of the skirt. Pretty sure I don't have enough fabric to make enough to do that at this point. I wanted to replace them with ( Read more... )

Aw bummer! I am looking forward to seeing the can-can action at D*C, though. Very much.

Nuriko would be gorgeous. I hope you can get ahold of it! Though I think as long as you have something, even if it's simple, that doesn't look half-assed, you're fine.

And I've definitely been judged by people out of costume. I would not worry about it too much.

I have no problem with being judged by people who are out of costume (I actually kind of prefer it) but the last time I tried that I got SO MANY LOOKS omg.

I say you wear Daria and just give them non-constructive comments while eating pizza. Problem solved.

I would love to see your Nuriko though XD (makes me want to pull out Hotohori T_T)

I don't have Daria anymore, because the jacket was so bad <.<

Looks like votes are running for Nuriko. I'll see what I can do!

I basically never judge while in costume - it's annoying as hell! I can't say I've ever gotten any fallout from it, but then again maybe people just talk about me behind my back, haha. I do always wear something fancy for the awards presentation, though.

People know who you are too, I think. I'm leaning towards not wearing a stupid costume for the judgy thing and putting one on afterwards for the masq proper.
