Well, hell. I finally sat down and started sewing ruffles on my can-can skirt lining to discover... I have NOWHERE NEAR enough ruffles. I cut them too narrow and so it's going to take twice as many rows to get to the top of the skirt. Pretty sure I don't have enough fabric to make enough to do that at this point. I wanted to replace them with wider/better trimmed up ones for D*C anyway, but at this point it may not be worth trying to complete the skirt until I have a fresh supply of fabric. You can't have a half-ruffled can-can skirt.
Which leaves me pretty much at square one, as far as finding something that I actually made to wear at Katsu. I wouldn't worry about it, but I'm judging and, though unwritten, there are Rules about these things. Making a last-ditch effort to see if my photog friend Aurora can ship me Nuriko before then; otherwise... well, otherwise I've no idea. I wish Relena hadn't mysteriously shrunk.
(ETA: I can still wear Debbie Death Eater (I think... I can't do the back zipper by myself), but I'll have to switch out the pants for a skirt probably.)
I am going to die of ruffles, I am pretty sure. DIE.
For now, I've got a Sacred Harp demo in Silver Spring and then some sleeping to catch up on.
