Heh, I have a certain way of naming my Valentine Day pics so they sound nastier than they really are, but either way, here's my (1st) presentation of the day, a little something for all you students who pay attention in class. :) (sorta work safe-ish)

As for posting links with pics, do you mean HTML or LJ tags?
HTML: embed the image location between the < a > tags, like...

Just make sure you remove the extra spaces I put in.

You could also opt for an LJ-cut, behind which you can put the big image. Then it would be something like:

< img src="http://www.furnation.com/Black_Rabbit/ravenvdthm.jpg... )

Argh, that image link behind the LJ cut should point to the VDclr pic instead of the thumb. My bad.

Don't forget to put a 'border="0"' property in the IMG tag, or else you get this ugly link-colored border around the picture.

Actually, cut tags have to be closesd, so they'd look something like:
