I study Clouds!

I've had problems explaining to people what I study since I started this field. Time and practice talking to people troughout these last 4 years have made me realize which words and in which order work better so that people understand better what I do with my time.

Reminds me of a story that didn't go nearly as well. Back when Joe was around, the two of us went to a seminar in the Geology department (alot like the ones we have here). We were doing the cookies & conversation thing before the seminar, and I asked one of the students: So, what do you work on?
"I study coal."
Ooookay...

One of the professors overheard and said to him, "I think he wants you to actually talk about what you do."

So he responded with:
"Oh. I study coal and water."
Riiiight. Great talking with you...

The main thing I think of with card stunts is the Rose Bowl prank by CalTech:

But, I could see how that would get boring. I used to have the Etch-a-Sketch Animator, where you filled in each box one-at-a-time to make your picture. It took forever!
