One quick note, just for posterity:

As for the rest, I thought I was going to be all zen and shit about Chord's departure, but now I have read this and my heart is broken. BROKEN. This is so perfect and exactly the way it should have gone and we will never, ever get to see it and I'm sad. But fic is always so much better than the show, so I guess I'm consoled.

You know what's cool? Epistolary fic. You know they're going to ship him off when his dad 'gets a job out of state', so Mercedes and Sam could stay in touch via e-mails and texts. It would be super romantic and defy the odds and stuff. I'M JUST SAYING.

My dear, this was absolutely lovely! I love how Sam sees that Mercedes fits in NYC, in fact I love how he really "sees" her, period. And his doubt that he'd be enough for her made my heart ache for him.

And asking Puck for advice!!! And that the advice Puck gives is surprisingly insightful and yet still so Puck was delicious! And Kurt's pretzels<3<3

It's a real shame that Chord is leaving, because, as you have to excellently shown, this pairing has such a great chemistry.

I loved every word of this. For real. I'm so glad you were able to finish it in spite of the show totally blowing it, once again.

I tried to find a happy balance between Sam's uncertainty and ~angst (which was also difficult because it I didn't want actual angst, but more situational angst and HELLO WRITING PROCESS YOU PROBS DON'T CARE ABOUT); the first go at this was TERRIBLE. Sam sounded like an emo kid.
