I got to meet Stephanie Pearl-McPhee yesterday, eeeeee!

aoife_ife was unable to accompany me. When I discovered this I sweetly (OK, let's be real here; I'm sleep-deprived and annoyed with him; I suspect the saccharine tone was more Nutrasweet and less refined cane sugar. Perhaps it was the unkempt appearance and crazed look in my eye) asked Jim, "Would ( Read more... )

She totally did! The balls (and not of the yarny variety), eh? I admit I've been guilty pre-motherhood of scowling at a mom and baby or two, but any reasonable person is not going to sit there and let their child scream. I wonder if she held the same disdain for the handful of cell phones that rang during the presentation...

I agree with Mag - Bitch.

Eh hem! Methinks there was a distinct lack on knitted items on Baby William during that meeting. You should have had him decked out for that gig, even if it was only for show! :P

And dude! Did you see that girls sock? The one who's only been knitting a year? Makes me want to put my needles away, just crawl under a rock and never again admit I've ever knit anything in my life. Begads!

And I am just so not jealous. Hrumpf. I don't supposed you were a good girl and asked her about coming to Switzerland, were you? :P

On the serious side, it's so cool you got to go! Thanks for the blow by blow! :0)

Teh embargo makes me feel bad at times (because dude, it's been a loooooong time since), but it's just too scary to think about. :D

Awww, that looks like so much fun! I'm so pissed that I couldn't make it now. Was Jim the only guy there? Sure looks like it from the pictures. ;p Sorry jim!

As for that line wench...jeez, you have to be a pretty miserable person to get pissed at a baby for no reason. Ah well, William got you to the front of the line right away, while her miserable, baby-hating ass had to wait. Pffft, take that, lady.

There were a couple other guys and at least one was a knitter!

True dat. I should've found her in line and laughed at her Nelson Muntz style.
