I was Google Image searching for Aubrey Beardsley's fetus illustrations (don't ask) and stumbled across an interesting if NSFW article by erotic artist Michael Manning. I was surprised to find that Beardsley was not as huge an inspiration on him as I'd thought before. Worth the read, I think.

Of course now I think I need to pull out my La Morte D

I love the hell out of Beardsley's style. I long to figure out how to use black shading like that.
