Batman: The Brave And The Bold" - I frickin' loved that Wonder Woman intro! Carol's plot may've seemed like bad 80's soap, but it originated in the 60's. She did eventually find out that she's Star Sapphire and has a rocky history with that whole thing, although these days she's a willing Star Sapphire and in her right mind. I feel like her character was shortchanged on Justice League (which I don't blame them for, John didn't need to be fit in Hal's role, it would've been too messy), but I'm hoping with Green Lantern: TAS we get a good look at the Carol/Sapphire dynamic

Star Sapphire: So Carol was an outright villain for a while? Am I wrong in remembering she wasn't the only Star Sapphire? Who was the Star Sapphire in Justice League?
Serious shows: Agreed.
Characters: What are Megan's dark secrets in the comics? Do you think they will use them on this show? I agree Superman may have a problem with Connor using the last name Kent, but I honestly think that that is something he really needs to deal with. I think it was a smart choice and that if ANYONE gave J'onn permission to do it, it was probably Batman.
School: Who were the other DC characters?
Cat Grant: I had no problem with Cat, I was just commenting on how irrelevant the news media actually is today. That's not exactly the writer's fault but news reports on TV shows and superhero cartoons always ring false to me nowadays.
Star Sapphire: Well, she was possessed and wasn't aware of it at the time, but yeah, she was a villain if you want to get technical. There are a group of Star Sapphires out there in space somewhere, however. It was implied that Carol is the SS on Justice League by the comment she made in "Fury

Yeah, I felt much the same way about Miracle Day - not as good as season 3, better than seasons 1 and 2. I was a bit disappointed by how the immortality idea and the related social commentary kind of fizzled out halfway through, and the series became a more conventional onspiracy thriller. It was still entertaining, but I felt that the premise was kind of wasted.
And the Oswald Danes character left me feeling like I was missing something, like he was a parody of some media figure I wasn't familair with. The bald guy should have been kept longer, he was a better villain.
Once they got to the ovens there was nowhere else they could have taken things so after that point it was all about undoing the Miracle. I don't fault the series for that.
I think Oswald wasn't supposed to be based on anyone in particular other than maybe Charles Manson (although that connection is a bit flimsy). They are both serial killers with a cult following but the similarities end there.
As for the bald guy I hated him so much I was just glad when he was killed off. It never occurred to me that he'd be a good Big Bad. I just wanted him gone.
It seems like this version of Cat Grant is constantly on the go covering various global events. It's interesting, how all of her reports involve superheroes and supervillains in the least.
It stretches credibility a bit but I kind of like it. The only one I wasn't feeling was the one with Ambassador Luthor. That didn't seem like something that would have gotten so much media coverage.
I think the only reason she was there was because of the rumor Superman might have been the arbitrator. And since we know the Justice League are super famous and get media coverage 24/7, I didn't dwell too much on the credibility.
True, but I still don't see the media covering peace talks no matter who is involved. Barack Obama is a rock star but any time he goes overseas for peace conferences he barely gets mentioned on the news and when he is, he's criticized. I think the real life media has made me really jaded.

Characters: They made Miss Martian a bad guy?! Did she stay that way? They better not do that on this show.
School: I DID notice Bumblebee now that you mention. The hairstyle gave it away.
