Batman: The Brave And The Bold" - I frickin' loved that Wonder Woman intro! Carol's plot may've seemed like bad 80's soap, but it originated in the 60's. She did eventually find out that she's Star Sapphire and has a rocky history with that whole thing, although these days she's a willing Star Sapphire and in her right mind. I feel like her character was shortchanged on Justice League (which I don't blame them for, John didn't need to be fit in Hal's role, it would've been too messy), but I'm hoping with Green Lantern: TAS we get a good look at the Carol/Sapphire dynamic.
Young Justice "Targets" - Neither The Batman nor Legion took its stories and characters serious enough. Season 4 of The Batman and 2 of LOSH were close, but the intricacies, subtleties, and real character moments weren't there. Not like on Justice League, and not like on Young Justice, which is basically the Teen Titans show everyone wanted.
I actually like most of the cast. Megan's bright but only probably because her secrets are buried darker. Robin's still a kid, but he's fun. Aqualad's great, but I'm looking forward to seeing him really lose it emotionally. Superboy I'm looking to see be reigned in, but he gets my sympathy considering how horribly Superman's treated him (I'm really hoping he authorized the Johns to give Superboy the last name "Kent" because otherwise...he probably won't be happy with it). Artemis is cool, and Kid Flash, well, he should be my favorite character, but he needs to grow up.
I like how they're using Roy, sparingly, and I think Weisman did say he's their unofficial seventh member. I'm glad they have a character who doesn't want to do the sidekick thing anymore, and Roy's one of the characters in the comics who has had a LOT of crap thrown at him (heroin abuse, having a child with a super villain, etc). I'm glad he's maintained his friendship with Aqualad, Robin, and Kid Flash, though. Wait, why don't you like Speedy on the other shows?
In terms of pronunciation, I'm glad we got "Ra's" over "Luthor" because the alternative of "Ra's" NEVER feels right to me, but I'm somewhat used to "Luther".
I want to see more of Megan and Conner in school! Especially considering we got no less than five other DC characters there.
As for Cat Grant...eh, it's hard enough for DC to make the Daily Planet still relevant, I think it's okay how they used her.
Star Sapphire: So Carol was an outright villain for a while? Am I wrong in remembering she wasn't the only Star Sapphire? Who was the Star Sapphire in Justice League?
Serious shows: Agreed.
Characters: What are Megan's dark secrets in the comics? Do you think they will use them on this show? I agree Superman may have a problem with Connor using the last name Kent, but I honestly think that that is something he really needs to deal with. I think it was a smart choice and that if ANYONE gave J'onn permission to do it, it was probably Batman.
School: Who were the other DC characters?
Cat Grant: I had no problem with Cat, I was just commenting on how irrelevant the news media actually is today. That's not exactly the writer's fault but news reports on TV shows and superhero cartoons always ring false to me nowadays.
Star Sapphire: Well, she was possessed and wasn't aware of it at the time, but yeah, she was a villain if you want to get technical. There are a group of Star Sapphires out there in space somewhere, however. It was implied that Carol is the SS on Justice League by the comment she made in "Fury".
Characters: In the comics, Megan is an evil white Martian, and considering her "I'm a Green Martian, of course" line in this episode, it seems like that's the secret she's harboring. Superman needs to deal with it soon! Yeah, I could see it being Batman's idea to use the last name "Kent"...which is odd considering Dick never took his last name.
School: Wendy and Marvin were originally Superfriends teen sidekicks, but a few years ago, they were put in the comics as Teen Titans supporting characters (children of the super intelligent villain the Calculator) who served as tech people. The girl with the poof ball hairstyle was Karen Beecher (aka Bumblebee) and the big dude was Mal Duncan (aka Herald). The teacher is Snapper Carr.
SS: Something about wanting to get rid of the men because of certain men in her life.
Characters: She was originally a bad guy (well, from a race of evil conquerors, anyway), but she wanted to be good, so she disguised herself as a green Martian so the others would accept her. They found out and got upset, but because she's actively battling the evil inside her, they let her stay on the team. Basically, she's a good guy kind of in a Raven sense.
School: Yeah, her hair and the fact that the cheerleader outfits kind of look like Bumblebee's color scheme.
SS: Yeah, kinda flimsy, but that's as much background on her as we got.
Characters: I'm sure whatever secret she's hiding, she'll still end up being cheery and sunny after its exposed (provided it doesn't ruin her relationship with the team).
Gargoyles is the only thing he ever did that actually had some measure of pay-off and even that wound up unresolved. He's under the delusion that every single project he makes will run for ten years even though he works in the field of animation with the reality of 65 episodes. Just look at the fact that he actually believed Disney would greenlight seven or eight Gargoyles spin-offs. He's lost my faith in pay-off a long time ago.
What about W.I.T.C.H? I've never watched it, but fans seem to think highly of the twists and turns. He has admitted the networks tend to lose interest before he does, and it does mess up some things like Spectacular Spider-Man in the long run, but I'm still loyal to him. Then again, I liked "Death Race to Oblivion!" and thought that was a good example of him doing a done in one story (although I know you don't like the ep).
Never seen W.I.T.C.H. He needs to plan ahead better. He should be doing what Bruce Timm (and even Joss Whedon) did and planning story arcs that only last one season instead of ending on cliffhangers. That way when the boneheaded networks cancel the show the audience won't feel ripped off. We get it, Greg. You plan stories ahead. Now could you PLEASE plan ahead for network interference?
You're right. It's sad that even Teen Titans knew to do that.
In a perfect world, though, when the network execs approach Greg, they'd say "How many seasons do you need to tell your story?" and he'd say "Five or Six, but I could go on longer" and then they'd say "We'll give you five. Maybe a DTV, but don't count on it, and don't even think of spin-offs until season four" and then it'd be done and we'd be happy.
Networks don't care about stories. All they care about is delivering eyeballs to advertisers and selling toys. Greg Weisman is a grown man. He should realize that by now.

Point about news media taken!

Characters: They made Miss Martian a bad guy?! Did she stay that way? They better not do that on this show.
School: I DID notice Bumblebee now that you mention. The hairstyle gave it away.
